Truth is better than fiction

10 October 2013
I am beginning to think that real life is funnier than some shows on TV.

I woke up this morning thinking about when my little granddaughter, Kailey, was just learning to eat solids her mom would strip her down to her diaper.  At a craft show the other day in one of the booths they had what looked like a bib------turns out it was a bib, just really big, really big.  I asked the lady about it and she said it was for adults.  WELL, now I have a decision to make, do I just strip down to my diaper or do I buy one of those really big bibs.  Either way I will save on laundry. It is nice to have option. Just sayin.

I am due for a mammogram and when I called to set my appointment yesterday, after looking at my age, the scheduler asked me.....will you be needing assistance.  Do you use a walker or are you in a wheelchair.  What? does my age automatically tell them something.  I thought to myself, "Bet I could beat you in arm wrestling".  I am a Curves lady you know.

A few years ago we were watching LDS General Conference and the Mormon Tabernacle Choir was singing.  After watching for a bit, my granddaughter, Briana who was probably 4 or 5, turned to me and said, "Grammy, you could sing in that choir."  I said, "Oh, Briana, I can't sing very well any more.  at my age, my voice isn't what it used to be.  After some thought, she replied, "Well then, you can just hum".  So here I come MTC.  I am ready to hum.

I love the faith of little children.  It reminds me of the time that we had a bird die which we buried in the flower bed.  A while later I went out and there is Kandis sitting watching the grave.  I asked her what she was doing and she told me with great faith, I am waiting for it to rise.  I wish I could remember what explanation I had for her about the fact that she would probably not be able to visually witness that great event at that time, but I should ask her.  I bet she will remember.

Well, I am off to see what things might happen today that will make my blog.  One never knows does one.
